IT'S GOOD TO SHARE

'Two Women in a Western' - Significant Other (24/1/2012)

At our monthly sharing session myself and Joanna had the glorious experience of sharing our new work-in-progress 'two women in a western'. Interval members and two guest friends from 'Massive Owl' watched our frolics with talc and tapes and offered us very encouraging and constructive feedback. To learn more and see some pictures check out our blog (from one blog to another!) www.significantperformance.blogspot.com

Thanks for your time guys!

Let the Western commence!

Do not underestimate the strength of a deep tissue illiopsoas massage from Andy Fagg (who runs Bristol school of Massage) He is brilliant and really gets in there, but today my muscles are really tender and I feel totally spaced out and a bit emotional. The Psoas muscle connects to the diaphragm which is directly effected by emotions, so it makes sense that working on this area brings up emotions.

Muscles worked on:
Quadratus Lumborum
Iliacus
Psoas

Our bodies our teachers

Other news: This weekend I shall be parading the streets of Leyton as a stilt walking Ice Queen

New Work and New Members

Monday 21st Interval hosted a sharing evening for new work and new members. It was a chilly November night but the sparks of new ideas and critical feedback kept us cosy!

Sedated by a brick shared a textual overload manifesting into a manic tale of murders by the seasides involving bernard mannings and kate bushes.

Martha and Alice shared their new collaboration in which they are attempting to 'explode a text in a site', using improvisation to find points of collision we were taken into along a semantic wave.

We Can Stay All Day will be performed as part of the Ausform Performance Platform 19th November 2011, The Cube. Tickets in advance from http://bit.ly/oDHxzN

We Can Stay All Day

Written in The Roundhouse Café,

Dartington, Devon at 1:48pm

“We Can Stay All Day” is work in progress at the moment. it is a shadow-puppet short, conceived specially for Ausform with its experimental atmosphere. And thankfully, its all going rather well, despite the usual trials and tribulations of wrestling with new methods of creating artwork.

Allow me to introduce it, no doubt in a rambling kind of way…
